Soccer Shots- Students in grades TK through 3 who participate in Soccer Shots learn principles and life skills like confidence, respect, honesty, and teamwork. Students meet once week after school throughout the session.
Lego Brain Builders- Students in grades 1 through 5 may sign up for a 7 week session of Lego Brain Builders. Students learn to set goals, find out what it takes to achieve goals and apply what they have learned .
Academic Chess- Open to students in grades K-6, Academic Chess is a 6 week program designed to fit the needs of all skill levels. Chess teaches children to think deeply, gain confidence, solve problems, develop patience visualize results and much more.
Student Council- Elections are held each year for student council positions. Students in grades 6-8 may campaign for leadership positions. Student council members are responsible for many student activities including morning assemblies and promoting school spirit. Student council meets before school each morning.
Athletics - Students in grades 4 through 8 may tryout for after school sports. Students may currently participate in Football, Basketball and volleyball. To learn more about our athletics program please CLICK HERE.
Choir- Students in grades 3 through 8 are invited to participate in the school choir. Under the guidance of our Music Director the students meet and practice once a week before school. The school choir participates in the annual Diocesan Choral Festival and performs at various events in Orange County.
Art Club- Attention Artists! St. Columban school will be offering an after school Art Club this school year, run by Ms. Pierini. There will be two, 8 week sessions; one in the fall for grades 1-3, and one session in the spring for grades 4-8. Keep a lookout for flyers in your child's backpacks, or inquire at the school office. Social Justice Committee- Under the guidance of the school Chaplain, students meet with faculty representatives to plan school-wide activities that encourage students to apply the Gospel values while serving others. The school has participated in Concern America's Walk Out of Poverty, an annual walk to raise awareness and funds for the poor.
