STUDENT COUNCIL
St. Columban is a charter member of The Association of Catholic Student Councils (TACSC).  In addition to its commitment to form and train future Christian leaders, the goal of the Student Council is to promote democracy, school spirit and scholarship.

Students in grades 5-7 may run for offices and members of the Student Council are elected by the student body to a one year term of office.  Students campaign and are elected to office in May for the upcoming school year.  A Student Council Moderator (a selected teacher or staff member) oversees the projects, activities, programs, fund raisers, etc. that the Student Council organizes during regularly scheduled meetings
.

PRAYERS
St. Columban School feels that prayer and knowledge of fundamental Catholic beliefs and traditions play a major role in the life of a Catholic and the development of the Catholic faith. The following have been selected as important prayers, beliefs, and traditions that should be a part of a Catholic’s life. Teachers will teach and assess student knowledge of this information throughout the school year. Parents are strongly encouraged to assist their child(ren) in learning and reciting prayers and Catholic beliefs on a regular basis. List of Prayers and Faith (PDF, 33KB)
